Abstract

A two-bit reflection-type phase shifter (RTPS) is fabricated using 0.13m CMOS process for 60GHz operation. The reflective loads in the RTPS are designed to achieve minimal loss with use of shunt switches and body-floating resistors. The measurement shows an average insertion loss of 6.4dB for four phase states with the worst case loss of 7.7dB at 60GHz.
