Abstract
The radical-radical reaction dynamics of ground state atomic oxygen O( 3P) with propargyl radicals ,C3H3, were analyzed in a crossed beam configuration. By disassociating NO2 and the supersonic pyrolysis of propargyls, radical reactants of atomic oxygen and propargyls were obtained. The nascent distribution of the product OH in the ground state showed bimodal rotational excitations without spin-orbit properties. The reaction dynamics in gas phase were found to provide an insight into the extremely reactive radical-radical reactions at the molecular level.
