Abstract
A high-temperature superconducting (HTS) double-pancake insert for an nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) magnet was presented. The design, assembly, and performance data of the HTS insert was discussed. The successful operation of Phase 1 NMR magnet demonstrated that a magnet comprised of an LTS section and an HTS insert is a configuration of high-field NMR magnets.
