    Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to establish a research platform of convergence among medical sciences, engineering and arts and to build a model of academic-industrial cooperation for haptic technology. The paper, in particular, aims to create an agenda focused at the level of satisfying academic research through incorporating industrial fields beyond interdisciplinary collaboration. Our work encompasses leading-edge industrial applications of current haptic technology and its practical application among engineering expertise so that we create a road map and set a concrete direction based on the trend and paradigm of haptics as well as theoretical and methodological foundations.
