Abstract

A light-cone gauge simplifies the calculation by eliminating many Feynman diagrams at the expense of introducing spurious poles in loop integrals. A new prescription for the spurious poles in a light-cone gauge is introduced. The prescription employs only gauge invariance in identifying the sign of the iε appearing in the spurious poles. Thus, the spurious poles can be determined by calculating a subset of the diagrams in the Feynman gauge.
