    Abstract

NEMO is an important issue in mobility research. Several NEMO protocols are proposed in PMIPv6 networks. However, they do not support a seamless handover. We propose Efficient Buffering scheme to support seamlessness for a PMIPv6 protocol. It is exploited for seamless PMIPv6-based NEMO protocol. Efficient Buffering scheme introduces ARQ handlers in mobility agents of PMIPv6. The role of the ARQ handler is to make the mobility agents exchange packet delivery status and manipulate buffers. Our simulation shows that the proposed protocol can prevent packet loss for any kinds of node mobility. It also improves a TCP throughput after a handover.
