    Abstract

IT has become a key factor as well as being relevant to most of the national and enterprise business. As a result, it has become very important to create IT value through IT governance and management. This requires planning and implementation of governance and management taking into account the goals and circumstances of the organization. In this paper, we propose a method to help the organization using COBIT 5 for IT governance and management. Specifically, we have proposed a method of helping to use COBIT 5's goals cascade. However, this mechanism does not suggest which goals should be achieved first and which processes should be performed first. Therefore, a study has been conducted on the methodology that gives priority to the IT-related goals of COBIT 5 (Lee, et al., 2017). However, even if IT-related goals are prioritized, there are many processes that need to be performed to achieve the IT-related goals. In this case, the organization is confused about which processes to perform. In addition, for smaller companies, there is a limit to achieving both the IT goals and processes presented in COBIT 5. Therefore, the companies need to perform the process selectively. To contribute to this problem, this study presents a methodology for prioritizing processes in consideration of IT goal relevance. This prioritization methodology uses the 'Mapping COBIT 5 IT-related Goals to Processes' proposed by COBIT 5 and applies the AHP methodology.
