N2 - A trellis-based algorithm is proposed for the realization of finite impulse response digital filters for multi-mode receivers. With this algorithm, the resource-sharing configuration of filter coefficients minimizes overall costs of the multi-mode receiver. In an example design, this algorithm can provide simpler realization with reduced costs.
