Abstract

(Figure Presented) Intracellular messaging: The novel two-photon fluorescent probe ACa1 can visualize calcium waves in cells and living tissue for a long period of time and without any mistargeting problems (see picture). The probe is capable of monitoring the calcium waves at a depth of about 150 μm in living tissues for more than 1100 s and with no photobleaching artifacts.
