Abstract
A two-photon probe for near-membrane zinc ions that can be excited by 800nm femtosecond laser pulses and emit at 500nm is reported. The probe can be easily loaded into cells and tissue slices to visualize nearmembrane zinc ions in live cells and tissues for a long period of time through the use of two-photon microscopy.
