    Abstract

An advanced auto focus video camera system using the adaptive zoom tracking method was presented. The camera system can achieve an accurate zoom tracking with significantly reduced system memory. The functional block diagram and prototype of the proposed camera system was also presented. The proposed camera system utilized a digital signal processor (DSP) to process the digitized image. The microcontroller transmitted a motor control signal to a motor driver to perform the zoom tracking.
