Abstract

We show that the maximal operator Mf(cursive Greek chi) = sup_j∈ℤ | (latin small letter esh)_ℝd f(cursive Greek chi - 2^jy) dμ(y)| maps H¹ into L^1,∞ under certain assumptions on the decay of μ̂ and the geometry of supp(μ).
