Abstract

In this study, both maglev control system and interaction between maglev and guideway-girder are analyzed. Based on this analysis, we conduct the module which could implement maglev-girder interaction. In addition, FEM(Finite Element Method) analysis for straight section of urban maglev guideway-girder in KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials) is conducted to examine both static and dynamic stability of structure. These results are compared with field test and calibrated based on this comparison. The dynamic characteristics of the girder such as mode shape, nature frequency and modal mass should be used to input data of developed module to calculate the dynamic interaction between girder and maglev. Based on this module, process of optimized design for PC Box girder is suggested. Also, a PC Box girder of new designed section with optimization is constructed in KIMM.
