Abstract
The TSC (thermally stimulated currents) spectra of PE/zinc ionomer and PE/sodium ionomer blends have been shown to exhibit three peaks, β, α1, and α2. The β peak of the blends was assigned to the dipolar disorientation associated with the carbonyl groups introduced by the ionomer component. The α1 peak of the blends has been assigned to the release of homocharges trapped at the ionic interfaces associated with the ionic clusters of ionomers. The α2 peak of the blends has been assigned to the release of homocharges trapped at the interfaces between the amorphous and crystalline phases.
