Abstract

Catalytic transfer hydrogenation of 2-tosyloxy-1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone derivatives leads to efficient synthesis of β-adrenergic agonists, (R)-tembamide, (R)-aegeline, (R)-octopamine, and (R)-denopamine.
