Abstract

Because the supply of cybersecurity professionals could not keep up with growing demand, organizations have begun to focus on cybersecurity education. Although there has been prior research, not many practical methods have combined the curriculum with the workforce demand. The National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) has started an investigation regarding role profiles with the workforce framework. This research aims to propose a better method for automatically deriving curricular guidance. We analyzed the representative workforce framework with the Apriori algorithm and prioritized competencies. As a result, we developed a potent tool that automatically produced similar lists like NIST.
