Abstract

Synthesis of a series of poly(ester amide) by solution polycondensation of various combination of p-toluenesulfonic acid salts of O,O'-bis(αaminoacyl)-1,4:3,6-dianhydro-D-glucitol and bis(p-nitrophenyl) esters of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids with the methylene chain length of 4-10 were analyzed. The polycondensation were carried out in the presence of triethylamine in N-methylpyrrolidone. The structures were confirmed using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy techniques.
