Abstract
Efforts to improve cybersecurity legal system has been in progress in East Asian countries and there are some changes. In this paper, we compare ‘National Anti-Cyberterrorism Act’ of Korea with ‘Basic Act on Cybersecurity’ of Japan and examine the main features of them. Korea and Japan all intend to set each role to related entities and build up the foundation of cybersecurity through the law proposing the structure of implementation system for strong cybersecurity. In Japan, this law is applied actually but in Korea, that is currently pending at the National Assembly so we should wait for legislation of it additionally. In the future, we should improve the legal system of cybersecurity and make strong cybersecurity in Korea, and furthermore we should contribute to the development of cybersecurity in East Asia.
