Abstract

A gas type detector based on plasma display technology was investigated as a candidate for the flat-panel radiation detector. Considering the simulation results with the Garfield code, prototype detectors were fabricated. The sensitivity of Xe 100% detector was 0.20 nC/mR•cm2 at the electric field of 0.36 V/um and it is about a tenth lower compared to that of a-Se detector at 10 V/um.
