Circuit Implementation of Quantum Error Correction Codes Using Qiskit

Abstract

Quantum error correction (QEC) is a fundamental aspect of quantum computing, addressing one of the biggest challenges in building reliable quantum computers, which has been developing rapidly these days. In this paper, we introduce some QEC codes, including CSS code and surface code, and make the implementation of CSS code on the symmetric quantum channel using qiskit. Besides, we also checked the logical error rates of both CSS code and surface code.
