    Abstract

A study was performed on coating BaTiO3 nanolayers on spherical Ni powders for multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC). The coating thickness was easily manipulated by controlling the rate of TiCl4 hydrolysis in the butanol solution. It was found the uniform BaTiO3 coating not only exhibited Ni oxidation at 400 °C but also moved the starting point of densification.
