Abstract

Data prefetching is a useful approach for reduction of memory access stalls in many scientific applications. However, it suffers from cache pollution severly in some applications. In this paper, we study the effectiveness of combining data prefetching with non-blocking loads on cache pollution and explain why it shows good result in our simulation.
