Abstract

TiO2 nanoparticles were encapsulated with PMMA (poly methyl methacrylate) using simple coacervation called solvent evaporation method to enhance the dispersion stability and match the density between TiO2 and a dielectric medium. Comparing other polymerization coating methods, this method is an effective and a good coating process as the side of used time and coating quality. The experimental results show that the PMMA-coated TiO 2 particles move toward the opposite electrode, which means the composite particles have potential to be applied electronic paper device.
