    Abstract

This paper presents design considerations for portable charging devices for smartphones. This device diminishes smartphone performance. The performance aspects that are susceptible to degradation die to the charging device are total isotropic sensitivity (TIS), total radiated power (TRP), and signal integrity of the universal serial bus-high speed (USB-HS) connection. This paper suggests some design considerations that mitigate the performance degradation. We also verified these design considerations experimentally.
