Discovery of female adult of Scopura jiri Jin and Bae (Plecoptera: Scopuridae) from Korea

Abstract

Previously unknown female adult of Scopura jiri Jin and Bae in'the wingless stonefly family Scopuridae is described from Korea with figures of key characters. The female adult of S.jiri can be distinguished from other congeners by the rudimentary projection in the posteromedial margin of the abdominal sternum VIII. S. jiri is distributed in the southernmost part in the Korean peninsula.
