    Abstract

IEEE 802.11ac uses DL MU-MIMO and channelization for very high throughput. We propose a new algorithm for adaptive channelization in DL MU-MIMO WLANs. The proposed scheme can enhance the throughput efficiency for DL MU-MIMO transmission by adaptively applying the channelization scheme according to data size and MCS. Moreover, our proposal can reduce the overhead due to the exchange of control frames for DL MU-MIMO transmission in WLANs. A performance evaluation shows that the proposed scheme is superior to IEEE 802.11acWLAN.
