Abstract
The effect of the accumulative strain on texture evolutions in 1050 aluminum alloy processed by dissimilar channel angular pressing (DCAP) was investigated. Very high plastic strain (εeff ∼ 19) were imparted into the materials via multiple passages (N = 32) through the DCAP die. The intensities of the texture components after DCAP depended on the accumulative strain for low applied strain ( ε eff < 5.8). For higher strain (εeff > 5.8), there was no significant change in intensity.
