Abstract

The effect of deformation histories on texture evolution during equal- and dissimilar-channel angular pressing was studied. Finite element analyses and full constraint Taylor analyses on the rate sensitivity model were performed to analyze the deformation history. Equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) introduced the complex mode of deformation consisting of tension, compression, as well as shear.
