    Abstract

The amorphous/crystalline composite comprising amorphous particles of Cu54Ni6Zr22Ti18 embedded in the crystalline nickel matrix was produced and its temperature dependence of the plastic deformation behavior was studied in the supercooled liquid region (SLR) of the amorphous alloy. The flow stress of the amorphous alloy was quite sensitive to the testing temperature in the SLR. The deformation of the composites was dominated by the flow stress of the amorphous alloy. The deformation behavior of the composite was analyzed by finite element method (FEM) calculations.
