    Abstract

The effect of segregated sulfur on surface energy induced recrystallization texture during final annealing and magnetic induction was examined in thin-gauged 3% silicon steel. Recrystallization was studied using a pole-figure and an etch-pit method. The results indicate that the recrystallization texture changes from {111} 〈uvw〉 to {001} 〈100〉 and finally to {110} 〈001〉 Goss texture.
