    Abstract

Several sets of static and impact load tests are conducted to estimate the effects of using steel fibre and shear reinforcement on static and impact load resistances. Weights are dropped from a certain height to apply impact loads to the specimens. The performances of all the specimens are evaluated by comparing their load-deflection curves, crack patterns, or maximum numbers of drops before the tests were stopped. Moreover, the partial placement of fibre-reinforced concrete is also used to find ways to manufacture cost-effective concrete members, because fibrereinforced concrete is mostly more expensive than normal concrete.
