Abstract
Highly efficient and bright organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been realized using thin alkali compound films (TACFs) as the electron pump layer (EPL) in the tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alqs) with conventional organic layers. By comparing the performance of the device as a function of position with the EPL, we propose the optimal position of the EPL in Alq3. Experimental results show that the efficiency of device with EPL is four times higher than that without.
