    Abstract

we introduce a new concept of an electrically driven microvalve employing hydrogel bending strip as an actuator inside microfluidic platform. We have used the electrically driven gel valve to guide the flow direction. For this purpose, we cascaded a droplet generating microfluidic channel and evaluated the sorting and metering capability of the hydrogel microvalve.
