    Abstract

A wireless ad-hoc network is a temporal network formed by a collection of wireless mobile nodes without the aid of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration. This network is suitable for a sensor network and for ubiquitous computing environments. In this paper, we suggest a node/link non-disjoint multi-path source routing protocol for a wireless ad-hoc network. This protocol also provides Internet service to mobile hosts in a wireless ad-hoc network. Those mobile hosts have no overhead as a result of the protocol because base stations take the responsibility for connectivity. Even though a route inevitably fails during a specific service, our proposed scheme reduces the overhead of route request flooding and of route re-establishments. The proposed scheme re-registers by maintaining node/link non-disjoint multi-paths between a mobile node and a base station.
