Abstract

A significant part of the dicrepancy between experiment and theory which may be attributable to the proces e+e- annihilation into J/ψ+J/ψ, where J/ψ is the lowest spin-triplet chromonium state is discussed. This process is overlooked because it is suppressed by α2s2, where α is the quantum electrodynamic (QED) coupling and αs is the QCD coupling. However, as it is shown, this process is enhanced by a kinematic factor that is assoicated witht he fragmentation of photons into cc̄ pairs.
