Abstract

A phototautomerizable semirigid polyquinoline (PQDH) with extremely high excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) chromophore content was synthesized and identified. As a result, optical gain due to stimulated emission was observed by the femtosecond pump-probe measurement.
