Abstract

In IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) flicker standards, only two representative cases for 120V and 230V are considered. To expend its applicability to other practical cases, it is necessary to manipulate the measuring algorithm, especially a weighting filter, which can be mathematically derived by changing the frequency characteristics of lamp. This paper presents the experimental procedure to obtain the lamp characteristics of 220V incandescent bulbs, also known as lamp gain factor, which has never been dealt in the international standards. And the determined parameters of 220V lamps are compared with those of other types of lamps.
