Abstract
The following experimental methods to measure the surface tension of liquid metals, alloys, and molten oxides, etc., are presented in this chapter with the principle for each method: (a) sessile drop, (b) maximum bubble pressure, (c) pendant drop, (d) drop weight, (e) detachment, (f) liquid surface contour, (g) capillary rise, and (h) levitation. It is important to select an adequate procedure for a target material since each method has advantages and disadvantages.
