Abstract

The basic minimum-square-error (MSE) transform point pattern matching and a fast computational method for its implementation are described. Currently, the method is being used successfully in a number of research projects. A computational analysis shows that it is faster than that of F.C.A. Groen et al. (Pattern Recog. Lett., vol. 3, pp. 343-350, 1985)
