Abstract
We report the experimental results of frequency stabilization and injection-locking of high-power violet laser diodes. The frequency of the master laser was stabilized with the Doppler-free saturated absorption signal of 174Yb atoms and the frequency stability was typically 62kHz at a 1 s average time. The slave laser having an output power of 25 mW exhibited a locking range of approximately 500 MHz under a 0.6 mW injection power. A heterodyne beat note at 160MHz between the master and slave lasers revealed a 3 dB linewidth of less than 1 Hz limited by the measurement instrument.
