    Abstract

We demonstrate approach to gas sensing using the field emission effect of carbon nanotube (CNT). We focus on the field emission of vertically aligned muitiwalled CNTs (MWCNTs) by electric field surface treatment and the characteristics of the sensor when exposed to NO2.
