Abstract
The commercial realization of ultrahigh areal densities in hard disk storage requires continuing technological innovations in various areas. This article discusses the head design concepts, fabrication issues, and testing performance of integrated read/write heads comprising spin-valve sensors and double T-shaped write transducers.
