Abstract
In this study, an organic light-emitting diode with improved light extraction was fabricated by embedding nanoscale vacuum line layer (nVLL). The nVLL increases the optical efficiency both by the perspective of inserting extremely low refractive index materials between the substrate and the anode, and also by the photonic crystal effect from a nano-periodic structure.
