Abstract
It is reported in the literature that a TCP connection with small window size achieves high throughput in wireless multihop networks. In this paper, we claim that TCP can benefit more from delaying ACK rather than limiting the window size. Since the induced delay may result in lengthy transfer time for short connections, we propose an adaptive delayed ACK algorithm at the receiver to enhance TCP performance.
