    Abstract

The switching characteristics of interelement submicron Ni81Fe19 segments were studied as a function of spacing. In connected segments arrays, the spin-spin interaction dominated so that the switching field was determined by the reverse nucleation field at the ends of the array. The reversal behavior of the connected segments were investigated as function of the angle and the external field.
