    Abstract

The interfacial phenomena that occur when the polymeric insulators are used for electrical apparatus cause various problems, mostly leading to a premature failure of electrical systems. Hence, the effects of interfacial conditions on the space charge in the PE laminates are investigated using two low density polyethylenes (PF) with different melt indices. In order to vary the interfacial conditions, the laminates are prepared at different temperatures and pasting the chemicals at the interfaces. Finally, charge distributions are measured using a pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) method.
