Abstract
The elongation behavior of polymer solutions at various concentration, was investigated using elongational rheometer. The elongational flow results in data that were intermediate to the two limiting curves for polymers in aqueous salt solutions and for aqueous solutions of mixture of ionic and nonionic polymers were found. The results showed that the influence of polymer flexibility on the flow behavior of polymer solutions was different for shear and for elongational flows.
