Abstract

We present measurements of the branching ratios for two Cabibbo suppressed decays of the D⁰ meson, D⁰ → π⁺π⁺π^-π^- and D⁰ → K^-K⁺, and for the decay D⁺_s → f{cyrillic}π⁺π⁺π^-. The physics signals were extracted from a data sample consisting of 60 million triggers, collected by Fermilab Photoproduction Experiment E687 from December 1987 to February 1988. The relative branching ratios are measured to be: Γ(D⁰ → 4π)/Γ(D⁰ → K3π) = 0.108±0.024±0.008, Γ(D⁰ → KK)/Γ(D⁰ → Kπ) = 0.138±0.027 ±0.010 and Γ(D_s → f{cyrillic}3π)/Γ(D_s → f{cyrillic}π) = 0.58±0.20±0.10.
