Abstract
A new fluorogenic sensor 1 capable of illustrating metal ion-triggered FRET changes has been synthesized. Based on the FRET changes, 1, bearing coumarin-fluorescein moieties, provides a selective sensor for Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions for experiments implemented in aqueous media with a chloride counter anion.
