Abstract
A method to measure the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding efficiency (SE) and its characteristics up to 18 GHz using flanged coaxial line sample holder and vector network analyzer were presented. Copper and conducting polymers were used as test materials. The contribution of absorption and reflection to total shielding efficiency of the materials were discussed through the measured S parameters. Results indicated that the holder could be used for the extended frequency range up to 13.5 GHz for measuring the EMI SE and its characteristics.
